- Stop Engine: Always shut down the engine and remove the key before performing maintenance.
- Cool Down Period: Allow the engine to cool down completely before working on hot components.
- Safety Gear: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Secure Position: Ensure the tractor is parked on level ground and engage the parking brake.
- Block Wheels: Use wheel chocks to prevent accidental movement.
- Disconnect Battery: For electrical work, disconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Read Manual: Familiarize yourself with all safety warnings and procedures in this manual.
Pre-Operation Inspection (Before Each Use)
Perform these checks at the start of each workday or every 10 operating hours:
Visual Inspection
- Cleanliness: Remove dirt, debris, and crop residues from the tractor exterior
- Leaks: Check for oil, fuel, or hydraulic fluid leaks
- Damage: Inspect for any visible damage to body panels, tires, and attachments
- Loose Parts: Check for loose bolts, nuts, or connections
Fluid Level Checks
